My Blog

My mission for this blog is to do something fun for myself and my family.  I don't know what exactly I will be posting about, but for the most part I want to blog about my animals, cooking, life, gardening, and maybe even a little bit of venting.

On November 4, 2011, I got my first puppy!  He is a Border Collie named "Rocket", and he is from the Jackson Family Farm, in Clinton, WI.  You can visit their website at :

The ride home was a little bumpy, for the little guy..over two hours in the car!  He had no accidents in the car, but threw up when we got about a half hour from home!  Luckily it was outside!

As of today, "Rocket" is 3 months old, and full of life!  We are currently taking Susan Garrett's "Recallers" course!  It is very fun and doing us both a lot of good!  Susan Garrett is a world famous agility star and trainer from Canada!  You can visit her here; http://susangarrettdogagility.com/about-2/ 

Today was cold and rainy, but we took a walk and did some work outside!  Lots of ball and frisbee throwing!  Gosh Rocket is SO smart!  I just love him to death!  Later on today we will be starting Susan Garret's "Crate Games".  One of her "critical core" to learning for a great pet or dog athlete!  I just love her!
